Sorry - I never meant to write it like that it really
looks stupid I have to agree.

Sometimes the mail list is so filled I just check
wether there are messages on my questions (or stuff I
might know an answer on) and just remove the rest - I
must have missed you're mail when I did that - sorry
for that.

Now, on to the question: I installed fetchmail but I'm
doing something wrong

I added the /etc/fetchmailrc file I hope you can point
out what's going wrong - I copied from the example
file and added the mail server but it must be I don't
understand what's the correct syntax - they write a
few lines in a comment but I don't really understand

Thanks in advance,

Joris

----------------------------
 /etc/fetchmailrc:

# /etc/fetchmailrc for system-wide daemon mode
# This file must be chmod 0600, owner fetchmail

# Daemon configuration
# These two are set in /etc/default/fetchmail
set daemon	300 # Pool every 5 minutes
set syslog # log through syslog facility

set no bouncemail # avoid loss on 4xx errors
				# on the other hand, 5xx errors get
				# more dangerous...

##########################################################################
# Hosts to pool

# Defaults
===============================================================
# Set antispam to -1, since it is far safer to use
that together with
# no bouncemail
defaults:
  antispam -1
  batchlimit 100

#poll foo.bar.org with protocol pop3
#  user baka there is localbaka here;

poll smtp.planet.nl with protocol smtp
