No, unfortunately.  The maintainer is really behind on that package --
exim4 has been stable at least as long as woody (IIRC).

My recommendation is to grab the debian sources for 3.35 and copy the
"local" Makefile from it.  Then grab the tarball from exim.org.  After
unpacking the tarball, copy the template local Makefile (as per the
directions) and fill it in using the debian 3.35 one as a reference.
It really is quite straightforward.
