Then you'll know the answers to both your questions: nvidia does not support dev kernels, but I think someone has packaged it up anyhow. Google for it. Secondly, the ALSA modules have changed names again, I think, so your sound driver will be called emu10k1. grep for it anyway. Are you sure you're ready for the 2.5 series, since, no offence, you seem a little lost already :-) -rob (who doesn't even read lkml:)
