Re: capture realaudio
I have misplaced some of the posts, but a suggsetion and a question:
1) Someone was mentioning they have vsound working, but are having
trouble recording a radio station. To this person: Are you using the
--timing option? Fyi, I have learned that, with this option, vsound
throws away the current recording, and starts another, every time you
stop and restart a stream. I would suggest looking at the temporary
(vsound???.au) filesize to get a feel for what vsound does. You will
see it dropping back to 0 in size at times.
2)
(with snipping)
>kenneth@enlil:/mp3/radio/new_sounds$ vsound -v -t -f ns1802.wav realplay
>Output file: ns1802.wav
>Temp AU file: ./vsound2476.au
>kenneth@enlil:/mp3/radio/new_sounds$ file vsound2476.au
>vsound2476.au: Sun/NeXT audio data: 16-bit linear PCM, mono, 44100 Hz
>kenneth@enlil:/mp3/radio/new_sounds$ play vsound2476.au
When I do this, I see:
$ file July_24.au
July_24.au: Sun/NeXT audio data: 16-bit linear PCM, stereo, 11025 Hz
Does anyone have any ideas why I am getting a 11025 Hz sample rate,
when Kenneth is getting 44100 Hz?
