I havea similar onboard sound
I have the following modules installed, and it works
ac07_codec
i810_audio
soundcore try adding the i810_audio should work after that

Sorry I haven't replied so soon (college), anyways I do a modconf then select the i810_audio and got this error: --------------------------------------------

Installing module i810_audio. If the device isn't there, or isn't configured correctly, this could cause your system to pause for up to a minute. /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/sound/i810_audio.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/sound/i810_audio.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/sound/i810_audio.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4/kernel/drivers/sound/i810_audio.o: insmod i810_audio failed
Installation failed.
------------------------------------------- it seems the device i810_audio isn't installed as a module(?) if so how do I configure my kernel to retain it's old configurations so I just need to add the module?
