ratpoison is great.  Get your shortcuts set up just the way you want,
and you'll never want to go back to using a mouse.  I've been using
ratpoison with Xinerama (two monitors), for several months, and have
never been happier with a window manager. 

ion is very good.  I used it for a year or so, but I prefer the greater
screen real estate ratpoison makes available.  Also, I found myself
using the mouse too much in ion.  

But if you like to resize windows a lot, ion makes it easier than
ratpoison.  I just run all my applications fullscreen, on either the
left monitor or the right monitor, so ratpoison makes more sense.
