Depends on your internet provider.  It's possible to set up with PPPoE,
though I would *strongly* suggest switching to an ISP that doesn't do
this trick.  PPPoE falls well within the realm of things only ISPs that
are oversubscribed and trying to screw you use.  Check the PPPoE Howto.

You should be getting much of the settings you need to get going from
your ISP, the rest is covered in howtos.
