| FWIW, /etc/init.d/bootmisc does clean /tmp on each boot. I was about to
| paste it here when I realized it's actually a not entirely trivial ~30
| lines.

I remember that guy. He had some trouble understanding that /tmp is
for temporary stuff and $HOME is for doing work.
