You need to post parts of your exim.conf file here.

What values are in (and do you have them at all?)

qualify_domain
receiver_unqualified_hosts

 Also the bits of the directors and transports that are causing the problem 
(look in /var/log/exim/mainlog and it should say in the report on the message 
which of these its used D= and T= are the key )
