Erk, what's with all the attachments? Is this a question or was the
attachment below the answer?

In short: get yourself a few boot disks: root, boot and the 3 driver
images. Put them onto _brand new floppy disks_ since floppies seem to
last about one write and half a read these days. Go to www.debian.org
and read the installation manual. You're going to want to a net
install, i.e. get the packages from an ftp/http server, so find a mirror
near by (http://www.debian.org/mirrors/). You'll need to know your
hardware to install Debian, so write down a list of all the pieces of
hardware you have, then google for the name of the Linux driver for each
of them.

Once you 've done all this, you should be ready to go. Boot from the
boot disk, insert the root disk when asked for it, and follow the
prompts. If you know your hardware, and are willing to read up (and
consult this list and #debian on irc.freenode.net) the install is very
straight forward.
