aptitude not working after using alien
I no doubt mistakenly tried to install a package using alien. It didn't
install properly but it still shows up as an available package in
aptitude (though in a rather broken form). If I try to do anything with
it, aptitude crashes.
Is there some way to delete all mention of this package from aptitude?
I've tried using forget-unavailable, I've tried clearing the cache,
tried using dpkg --forget-unavailable, I've purged aptitude and
reinstalled it twice, but still I get this alien package showing up. Can
I delete it manually somewhere?
