RE: apt-get (dpkg) error

Hi Rick,

could you solve your Problem?

I have the same problem with xnview(2. error).
1. error:
Preconfiguring packages ...
No default for console-data/keymap/qwerty/brazilian/standard/keymap -
picking one
.
.
No default for console-data/keymap/qwertz/swiss/variant - picking one

If you have information about what choice should be the default for
the above questions which gave warnings, please mail it to
console-data@packages.debian.org.  Thanks for your help.
open3: open(GLOB(0x80fd1a8), <&main::STDOUT) failed: Invalid argument at
/usr/share/perl5/Debconf/FrontEnd/Dialog.pm line 145

Received signal. Aborting xserver-xfree86 package config script.

2. error:
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/xlibs_4.2.1-3_i386.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults', which is also in
package xnview

I tried "apt-get -f install":
same error(2)

I tried "apt-get -f remove xnview" and got:
Reading Package Lists...
Building Dependency Tree...
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
  xbase-clients: Depends: xlibs (> 4.2.0) but 4.1.0-17 is to be installed
  xlibs-dev: Depends: xlibs (= 4.2.1-3) but 4.1.0-17 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or
specify a solution).

Are we the only one with this Problem?
