Re: woody ignores my .emacs file solved <partially>

Hi,

I have been having trouble getting my .emacs file recognized under
gnome/sawfish. I managed to get it to work under ICEwm and noticed under
WMaker that if I used to menu my .emacs wasn't recognized while if I typed
emacs from the xterm I got my .emacs...

It seems that if I call emacs-20.7, my .emacs is ignored, if I call emacs
<a link to /etc/alternatives/emacs which in turn is a link to
/usr/bin/emacs20 which is a link back to /usr/bin/emacs-20.7>...

whew!

The setup seems odd to me, but I got emacs to work as I want it to for
now.
