that server should allow everybody to have control of their mta
and eliminate most spams .. way before it even hits the
fetchmail/exim/procmail/mutt process

and $9/yr for a domain name hosted on their own pc sitting at home..

a good solution to preventing/minimizing spam..
	- except one does have to figure out how to stop spam
	at various points

	- lots of reading on exim/sendmail/postfix/qmail/etc
( use its antispam features first )

	sendmail antispam/antivirus stuff
	http://www.Linux-Sec.net/Mail/sendmail.gwif.html
	( 5 minutes to get rid of most ( say 80% - 90% of the spam ))

ie... in answer to the original postsers question .. of which tool...
its NOT spamassassin or its variants

get control of your MTA first ( eg host your own domain )
and use foo@family.com if you have to ...

have fun
