Am I right in assuming that a commoner has no such tool available to
him? For anybody trying to install a homogenous Debian system on a
variety of architectures, this would definitely be a boon. The search
page only provides search facilities for one architecture at a time.

I don't deal in architectures other than x86. Not yet, anyway. However,
is it safe to assume that packages that are not inherently architecture
dependent are available for all architectures?
