Dear All
I have just loaded Debian Linux 3.0 Woody on the above system.
Every so often (roughly about 15 minutes) I get the following error screen.

<0> Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!

The system hangs and the only way out of the situation is to reboot. This is occurring at all time s from reboot to trying to set up the X window system. Any ideas what all the hex code means and if there is an easy step by step cure. Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Steven Rodney

P.S. Since loading up Debian, even though I have had problems this is the best fun I have had on my computer for 10 years. It seems to be a GREAT operating system.
