ext3 is insecure if file shredding/wiping?

My 2nd post today on ext3. While reading the debian-user archives
(something I should always do BEFORE posting), I found a post that
stated ext3 is NOT A GOOD THING for people who "shred" documents. I use
a utility called "wipe" and definitely wouldn't want my hard drive
vulnerable to unformat or undelete type operations, because the data was
"journaled" somewhere.

Thoughts or feedback? Thanks again.
