After a system crash my /var/lib/dpkg/status file was lost. Now dpkg, dselect, apt-det, all complain about this missing file. Is it possible to "regenerate" this file? ( all the installed packages are working perfectly ) I tried copying status-old to status, that makes apt-get update happy but that's all :( Thanks
