RE: make menuconfig

Was this problem solved? I have the same problem.

For me it appears to originate in a version number conflict. I installed an
out-of-stable package which up-versioned libncurses5-dev and also libc6; now
the lower-versioned libncurses5-dev won't install because of the higher
versioned libc6 which won't uninstall because of other aps that depend on it
and won't downgrade because libdb1-compat (used for the out-of-stable
package) depends on it. libdb1-compat will not uninstall because the
higher-versioned libc6 depends on it.

So can someone tell me how to get out of this one?

Best Wishes!

     Maybe you need libncurses5-dev :)

I don't know. Have you tried running ldconfig?

     Good luck.
