I presume your root filesystem is on /dev/hdb6.  If this is not the case,
then you need to tell lilo where it really is.

I'm afraid this means that your root fs has been corrupted so it can't
be mounted.  You may be able to recover it by booting from the resuce
disk and perform an fsck on the partition.
