Debian + Amavis + Postfix
Greetings!
I'm trying to install Amavis + uvscan on my debian system. We currently
have postfix as an MTA.
I followed the following instructions to get this configured.
//I GRABED THESE FROM THE README.POSTFIX THAT COMES WITH AMAVIS
Configuring postfix itself is very simple:
* add to /etc/postfix/main.cf:
content_filter = vscan:
soft_bounce = yes
# For testing purposes it might make sense to use this
* add to /etc/postfix/master.cf:
vscan unix - n n - 10 pipe flags=q user=amavis
argv=/usr/sbin/amavis ${sender} ${recipient}
localhost:10025 inet n - n - - smtpd -o content_filter=
//END OF README.POSTFIX
My log says
//BEGIN OF LOG
Sep 25 20:07:34 mail amavis[9454]: virus_scan FAILED, retry: All virus
scanners failed! at /usr/sbin/amavisd line 982.
Sep 25 20:07:34 mail amavis[9454]: mail processing failed,
RETRY/TEMPFAIL
Sep 25 20:07:34 mail postfix/pipe[10291]: EFA2D20100:
to=<meme@localhost.com>, relay=vscan, delay=1, status=deferred
(temporary failure)
Sep 25 20:07:34 mail postfix/smtpd[10300]: disconnect from
unknown[192.168.1.1]
//END OF LOG
I know I'm missing something stupid, but I can't see it. Any help would
be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
IRV
