apt upgrade

hi

i hope someone can help to fix my small problem regarding
apt-upgrade. today i have upgraded with (slightly
reformatted output)

igate:~# apt-get upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following packages have been kept back
analog ash fileutils gsynaptic libc6 libc6-dev
  libcompress-zlib-perl libconvert-uulib-perl libdbd-mysql-perl
  libdbi-perl libhtml-parser-perl libmime-base64-perl
  libunix-syslog-perl msttcorefonts nessusd perl perl-base
  perl-doc perl-modules perl-tk python python2.1 shellutils
  textutils webalizer
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and
	  25 not upgraded.

so i thought its to to a

igate:~# apt-get dist-upgrade

  coreutils dash defoma dialog gdk-imlib2 libdb1-compat libdb4.0 openssl python2.2

so, i dont want to use the force-loopbreak, because
a) i dont know exaclty whats happening
b) seems to be too dangerous

after searching the web i found that the fileutils is an empty package
with no content. and the coreutils replaces this package. but updating with
igate:~# dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/fileutils_4.5.1-1_all.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/coreutils_4.5.1-1_i386.deb
dpkg: regarding .../fileutils_4.5.1-1_all.deb containing fileutils, pre-dependency problem:

also failed. so maybe someone has an idea how to solve this problem?
