it makes it easier, but it's more complicated. after all, shorewall is
a full-fledged firewall, and the original poster only wanted a router.

however, this isn't supposed to discourage anyone. shorewall is nice.
it might require you to read something on firewalls first, and you'll
definitely learn a lot in the process.
