check out cups [www.cups.org]. i'm not familiar with your particular printer
but, using cups, i managed to get an epson stc580, also allegedly
windoze-only, up and running. it may take a bit of tweaking to get it right.
in my case, it took maybe an hour to achieve my end, after a couple of months
of trying other options without success.
