Emacs/Xemacs has a dict client. Elsip and screenshots here:

Works very well. I use it with  a local dictd server on my machine. It even 
has tooltip support so id you leave your mouse cursor hovering over a word 
for more than a set time it pops up a window with the word looked up for you.
