Re: Where to add static routes?

I appreciate the info..

I already had the eth0 interface configured, what I now need to do is add static routes to the routing table..

Where do you add things like:

route add -net xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx gw xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask 255.255.255.240

I need this route added after the interfaces are up

Debian is even easier !

an example of /etc/network/interfaces :

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
       address 192.168.0.44
       netmask 255.255.255.0
       network 192.168.0.0
       gateway 192.168.0.254

that's it !
