Install Debian 3.0 as is. Then, do a simple "apt-get install
kernel-image-2.4.18-386". Once that's complete, type "tune2fs -j
/dev/hd??" (replace "??" with your info) at the command line.
You'll quickly be running a current 2.4 kernel with an ext3 filesystem.
