Here are the tools I use for a somewhat similiar configuration:
- Qmail
- Maildrop
- Spamassissin
- Cyrus IMAP
The main difference is that I'm not using my ISP's mail server. Qmail
uses ~/.qmail files to control delivery of user mail. I simply pass
delivery control off to Maildrop at this point. Maildrop uses
~/.mailfilter to control it's delivery process and I pass the message out
to Spamassassin and then filter accordingly. Cyrus IMAP then provides
IMAP access to my sorted and filtered mail folders.
If you want to take things a step further, you could use MimeFilter to
remove unwanted content types also.
