Hi,
I'm installing OpenSSH (i need install it manually) and in the ./configure step i receive the error: checking whether getpgrp requires zero arguments... yes configure: error: *** Can't find recent OpenSSL libcrypto (see config.log for details) *** I did looked if i had it installed "lubcrypto": Debian:/tmp/openssh# dpkg --get-selections |grep libcrypto Debian:/tmp/openssh# Ok, i don't have. Then i gone find in repository: Debian:/tmp/openssh# apt-cache search libcrypto libssl0.9.6 - SSL shared libraries # apt-cache search openssl ca-certificates - Common CA Certificates PEM files libneon19 - An HTTP and WebDAV client library exim-tls - Exim Mailer - with TLS (SSL) support libcrypt-ssleay-perl - Support for https protocol in LWP libopenssl-ruby - OpenSSL interface for scripting language Ruby. libssl-ruby - OpenSSL interface for scripting language Ruby. sslwrap - Simple TCP service encryption using TLS/SSL zmailer-ssl - Mailer for Extreme Performance Demands libapache-mod-ssl - Strong cryptography (HTTPS support) for Apache libssl-dev - SSL development libraries, header files and documentation ssleay - Convenience package to replace ssleay with openssl libssl0.9.6 - SSL shared libraries openssl - Secure Socket Layer (SSL) binary and related cryptographic tools I tryed install the necessary packages: # apt-get install libssl-dev Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies: libssl-dev: Depends: libssl0.9.6 (= 0.9.6c-2.woody.0) but 0.9.6d-1 is to be installed E: Sorry, broken packages Ok, it say that i need libssl0.9.6 installed before, i tryed install: # apt-get install libssl0.9.6 Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Sorry, libssl0.9.6 is already the newest version. 0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 8 not upgraded. It say-me that already is installed and upgraded!! How ?? What is wrong ? Someone have some idea ?? hehe :) I need install only libssl-dev. ;)
I'm using Woody. # uname -na Linux Debian 2.4.18-k6 #1 Sun Apr 14 12:43:22 EST 2002 i586 unknown Thkz Best Regards.
