unable to make ext2 while installing, please help

hello!!

I am trying to install debian 3.0r0 woody in a hewlett packard computer which has a 486DX2 processor, 1GB hard drive, 16M in Ram, a floppy drive and a cdrom drive. I have an official debian cd, but the bios can´t boot from the cds, so i made floppy images of rescue.bin and root.bin. It boots the system, usually with floppy0 argument (it seems to only work like that), and then after the initial steps I partitioned the hard drive in 2.hda1 containing the swap and hda2 containing the primary filisystem. then I initialized the swap, but then it can´t initialize and mount the ext2 filesystem. Sometimes it tells me that the partition is busy, and sometimes it shows a weird error ( code: 8b 42 18 a8 01 74 31 8b 52 14 85 d2 74 04 39 ca 75 ee 8b 41)and halts, it doesn´t even let me enter to the other shells (ALT+f2 and f3) or takes control of them repeating over and over again. I have tried many times without succeding. DEbian will be the only operating system in the computer, there is no DOS partitition. What can I do???
