Woody: Kernel 2.4.18+XFS linking errors (undefined reference)
Hi!
I'm using Debian Woody, kernel 2.4.18, and XFS.
Installed packages:
kernel-source-2.4.18
kernel-patch-xfs (also from Woody)
kernel-patch-evms (also from Woody)
xfsprogs (from Woody as well)
After applying kernel-patch-xfs, I installed the patches for LVM
1.0.5. All of these patches applied without any problem. Now when I
execute
make-kpkg --revision=<rev_name> kernel_imge
I get several undefined reference errors like
fs/fs.o: In function `xfs_dm_send_data_event':
fs/fs.o(.text+0x87f79): undefined reference to `dm_send_data_event'
fs/fs.o: In function `xfs_dm_send_create_event':
fs/fs.o(.text+0x88031): undefined reference to `dm_send_namesp_event'
fs/fs.o: In function `xfs_dm_bulkstat_one':
fs/fs.o(.text+0x8842a): undefined reference to `dm_vp_to_handle'
fs/fs.o: In function `xfs_dm_mount':
fs/fs.o(.text+0x8b2d8): undefined reference to `dm_send_mount_event'
[...]
What's the cause for these errors and how can I get rid of them? Am I
perhaps missing a package? By the way, installing xfslibs-dev didn't solve
my problem. I also tried to disable the ACLs, but to no avail.
Doing a google search on "debian xfs kernel 2.4.18 linking
problems" or "debian xfs kernel 2.4.18 undefined references" revealed
nothing meaningful. Maybe I was overlooking something?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Greetings,
Holger
