Coming in on this rather late, but no discussion of the
correct plural of virus could be complete without a look
at <http://www.perl.com/language/misc/virus.html>.
This is because Perl hackers are pedantic people, and
are also always correct. Remember that Larry Wall tends
to see himself as a linguist before anything else - that's
actually all you need to know to understand Perl.

thread, I didn't see it.)
