No IRQ known for ...

Hello,

at boot time I get the kernel message:

PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:04.0. Please try using pci=biosirq.

I added the line

append="pci=biosirq"

in lilo.conf but it didn't solve nothing. The system freezed instead.
So I removed the entry in lilo.conf.

After doing lspci -vvx I get for the 00:04.0 device:
00:04.0 IDE interface: Acer Laboratories Inc. [ALi] M5229 IDE (rev c4) (prog-if fa)

where it is shown that pin A was routed to IRQ 0 by the driver. So, I think that I can ingnore the kernel message. I am right?

TIA

Marcelo
