Hi I have other problem. I’ve been using RedHat until
now, but I’ve just installed woody (the last beta before the full
release) and I’ve also installed KDE. When I start KDE (as a normal user) I get the message “no
permission to access /dev/dsp”, very well, I
made a chmod to it and gave it permitions
to normal users. But now, when KDE starts, it says something like “Trying
to initialize /dev/dsp in 44000 and only get 32000 so
using null device” result I have no sound in KDE! I should say than I’m using a recompiled kernel (version
2.4.18), and that in the precompiled kernel that does not happen. But I’ve put the module emu10k (I have a sound blaster
live) in the kernel when I recompiled it! Thank you very much! |
