Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I am going with George's
suggestion of as I routinely make /usr/local and /home much larger than
/var.

I think this whole upgrade is absolutely wonderful and I wish I could
thank you all more than just saying thanks. I used to use RedHat and
Mandrake and I'd like to say that as much as I respect those two
companies and all they have done for the open source community, I am
happy I'm using Debian and I truly do enjoy being a part of the
"support team" however small a role I may play!
