You mean, append="hdx=ide-scsi"?

None that I know of. I think you need at least the following extra
modules loaded (or built-in):

   scsi_mod.o
   sr_mod.o

When configuring the kernel, it's not enough to enable ide-scsi, you also have to enable general scsi support.
