UDP portscans from local Win2K machine (Port 2049?)

Hi,

Since a day or two I'm getting messages from the poertscan detector
on my Woody box about UDP portscans originating from my wifes Win2K
machine on out home LAN.

The scan is on the order of about 100000 connection attemts at a time,
directed to the broadcast address of the home lan (192.168.1.255)
It is usually directed to port 2049 as far as I can see, but there may be others.

I've run a virus scan on that machine and also Ad-Aware, but it came out empty.

Does anyone know what this might be?
Many thanks for your help in advance!
brgds,
Balazs
