As ever, if it's important, back it up before > tinkering with partitioning. Now that you mention it, that is rather odd. If /boot isn't at the beginning of the disk, why have it at all? The only time I use a seperate /boot partition is on old systems that have to deal with the 1024-cylinder boundary. -Alex
