Re: Unable to make Linux bootable from HD or make boot floppy
Hello,
Success!
I am going to respond to several emails at once here, since they all said very similar things.
I did repartition the HD as follows:
hda1: 379.98MB, Primary Linux ext2 bootable
hda2: 48.10MB, Primary Linux swap (end of disk)
Upon going through the installation process again, both making the HD bootable (from the MBR) and making a floppy disk worked! Horrah!
The digital camera is an Olympus Camedia C-2040 Zoom, a 2.1 megapixel camera. It's now been outdated by the C-3000 (Olympus' web site's digital camera section is http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_digital.asp).
I now have another problem - the CD-ROM drive - but I'll put that under a separate subject, since it's really not the same problem.
Thanks again to all,
-Mark Fickett
