Server X process taking 250 Mo - leaking ?

I have the following in top:

PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
  532 root 16 -10 289M 32M 7528 S < 54.6 6.5 8:35 XFree86

I think there is a problem there. XFree86 takes way too much space and
CPU. Have anybody encountered the same problem?

Now after a restart it is:

PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
 1895 root 9 -10 281M 25M 7528 S < 0.1 5.0 1:01 XFree86

I think it still takes a lot of memory. Is that normal?

I didn't notice that before last week, after I tried to enable true type
fonts. I followed the "True Type Fonts in Debian mini-HOWTO".
But I reversed it, i.e. my XF86config-4 file is back to the original.

Appart from xfstt still running (but not referenced in my XF86Config
file), I don't think there is a difference with my configuration.

I run Debian unstable on a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop. The laptop
contains an NVidia GeForce 2 graphic card.

Extract of my XF86config-4 file.
