Re: DHCP for PCMCIA interface: Being Canonical

Thanks; I managed to get it working!

Turns out there were two reasons it wasn't working; 1) I specified "auto
wlan0" in /etc/network/interfaces, and 2) I had two dhcp clients installed
(pump and dhcp-client). Removing dhcp-client and removing auto wlan0 let the
pcmcia scripts run pump on the card properly.

I guess as both were installed, the ifup script would give priority to
dhclient, and not run pump??

Thanks,

Bruce

PS: For those of you who wonder why I use pump instead of dhcp-client; I could
never get dhcp-client to work properly. I had actually removed it, but while
trying to get this to work, I installed etherconf to try and reconfigure
things properly, which depends on dhcp-client, so it was installed as well.
