I guess, Apple should change the remark on the OS as:
"The not quite Best OS on the Planet."

There is port of dpkg/apt to Mac OS X -- see
<http://fink.sourceforge.net/>

If the packaging system is not adopted by Apple, would there be anyfuture for the port?
