wireless.opts and Encryption

Hi,

Success with these:

. no encryption. settings in wireless.opts just work fine.
. with encryption. after plug-in the card, manually do "iwconfig
eth1 key 0102030405", then the link is up.

Failure:

  . with encryption. KEY="0102-0304-05" (or KEY="0102030405") in
wireless.opts does not work. no luck with KEY="s:ascii" ascii
passphrase either. In each case I can bring the link up by set the
     key manually.

Tech info:

  . Debian's pcmcia-cs package installed. (I'm on unstable branch.)
. pcmcia modules come from 2.4.18 kernel. orinoco_cs.o is used.
. AP (linksys wap11), pcmcia card (Orinoco silver)

I've looked into /etc/pcmcia/wireless, looks fine to me. if $KEY is
defined, it should run iwconfig to configure the KEY.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Jack
