Re: Making a boot floppy
Thanks to everyone who new the mkboot command.
Fortunately the machine boots of the hard drive, but not the floppy I
made. I get a kernel panic.
First it warns about needing a boot=option, then
kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 03:02
I mounted the boot floppy and here's what lilo.conf says:
lba32
boot = /dev/fd0
install = boot.b
map = map
compact
prompt
timeout = 50
read-only
image = vmlinuz
label = linux

thevenin:/mnt/floppy# ls -l
