how to get the total resource usage of a uid?

Hello,

I'd like to know the real-time memory/cpu usage of the total processes
of a single uid. How can I get the report? I've tried vmstat and top,
but failed to get what I need.

For example, if I allocate the max memory/cpu resource for www-data in
/etc/security/limits.conf, how can I know the current usage, even the
percentage?
