thanks baloo. i was thinking this but thought, on norman's response, that my
own mailer config was the sole culprit. the real issue is making the list
workable for everyone, regardless of the deficiencies of whichever mailer is
used--and that includes those trapped in m$ hell. while i do take norman's
admonitions to heart and endeavour to live up to the no cc rule that i
proposed, most mailers in default state don't adhere to mail-followup-to
headers. this goes right to the heart of the matter--that the rules should
encourage harmonic inclusion. ultimately, we should be able to come up with
advisory solutions for every mailer variation. i consider an effort to divine
the best solution to accommodate all of those variants as the only fair way
to address the frustration they engender.
