You shouldn't have been, since it seems you were looking for it.

I saw two suggestions about possible ways he could stop the impact of
his company's broken mail server.  I did not see "Go home, we don't
want you."  Is it now intolerance to suggest ways people could fix
problems that bother others on the list?

If you have that thin of a skin, maybe you should hang out in some
other venues, where a misconfigured mailer would have the poster
bumped from the list and a half dozen requests demanding their
upstream to cut them off the net until they learned how to read RFCs.
