I have this :

      xterm -geometry +30+30&
      xterm -geometry -30-30&
      
      # I *must* work on this, so...
      
      emacs21 -geometry -20-20 ~/memoire.tex &
      gv -scale -3 -watch -antialias ~/memoire.ps &
      
      # window manager

      exec wmaker

in mine.

the last entry starts with exec, so that when (in this case) the
window manager stops, X stops too.

Voilà.
