First thought:
Can you access IP addresses, but not named sites?
It could be a simple DNS issue. What's in /etc/resolv.conf?
Example:
When connected,
can you ping 198.186.203.20 ?
But not ping debian.org?
~> host debian.org
debian.org. has address 198.186.203.20
