SMC 1211TX

Hi List:

I have an SMC 1211TX, PCI 10/100 NIC that I'm trying to get working with
my Linux computer, but I'm running into problems.

I'm using Debian Potato, with the kernel upgraded to 2.4.17 and using
the Bunk hacks on a Pentium 66, 32 MB Ram.

What driver should I compile into the kernel (not modules, please) to
get the SMC working? I did a search on the net and have found references
to the RTL-8139, but when I tried it, I would get an error on bootup:

"PCI: Setting latency timer of device 00:13.0 to 64"

and it would hang there. This card works great in my Windows computer,
so I know it's not a faulty card. If this is indeedy the driver to use,
then I'll just pass it off as it being incompatible with my current
hardware .. but I just need confirmation.

Thanks!
